JUNOfest Submissions Are Now Open
Submissions are now open for bands and artists hoping to perform at JUNOfest, a two-night music festival that will take over 15 venues in London, Ont. and feature over 100 performances.
Presented by CBC Music, JUNOfest will take place on Friday, Mar. 15 and Saturday, Mar. 16, 2019. The broadcast Juno Awards show will be at Budweiser Gardens on Mar. 17, 2019.
"It will be showcasing artists from literally every genre, across the country," said Chris Campbell, chair of the 2019 Juno host committee.
"It's just an amazing time for fans, for media, for the music industry. It will literally take over London with music."
The venues that will be hosting JUNOfest performances have yet to be announced.
"Those details are still being worked out, but it will be a lot of smaller venues, a lot of clubs and music bars," said Campbell.
Applications are open to all genres and to both solo acts and bands, but they must be Canadian. Organizers say priority will be given to Juno Award nominees and artists or bands from the London area.
Visit junofestsubmissions.ca to apply.
Applications will be reviewed by the JUNOfest producer and Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Science.
Submissions require a $20 application fee and will be open until Dec. 21, 2018 at 5 p.m.
Chosen applicants will be notified by Mar. 1, 2019.
