Fox & The Fiddle: January 27, 2018

The Fox & The Fiddle one of my favorite places to go see live music.

The food is exceptional, the staff are absolutely amazing and they always, always have 1st rate live music in their venue. The layout of the venue is 3 tiered floors that gives you options to either sit close and see/hear the acts of sit farther back in the venue to hear only and maybe watch a game or chat with friends.

In either case it makes you feel like you are in the comfort of your own home with great food and live music. The Fox always has excellent live acts, it’s not suited for loud bands and that would wreck the intimate vibe of the club if there was. You will get acoustic singles, doubles or trios and every act I have seen there has been excellent.

Tonight’s act was no different – 2 Man Advantage with Cam Grant and Jim Forbes (both of Full Petty Fever fame) were putting on a Beatles show this night, and who doesn’t love the Beatles especially when it is done as well as these two do it.

What makes it even better is the video screen behind them that sync’s video to the specific songs that they are playing in animated form. Now I can’t even imagine how long it took to put this whole thing together to be timed flawlessly for live performance let alone the technical aspect of triggering the video to the specific song but it is damn entertaining.

Cam and Jim, thanks for a great time hearing you, well done.
